We found a really nice Airbnb run by Cyrille with a breathtaking view of the Côte d’Azur and Monaco. It is located in Roquebrune, but there is a convenient bus service that will take you to Menton within just 10 minutes. If you’re interested, drop us a line and we can send you the link to the AirBnB!
A little paradise in the old town of Menton – that’s the best way to describe La Petite Maison! Unfortunately, we only discovered this accommodation afterwards. The next time we are back in Menton, we will pay a visit to La Petite Maison and Beatrice, the owner.

Menton was definitely worth a visit for us! This place should definitely not be missed on a tour of the Côte d’Azur. The most colourful town of South France definitely invites you to linger and enjoy a coffee or two.
From our point of view, rent car is the best way to explore Menton and the surrounding places, as you are the most flexible and can get from place to place.
But there are also really good bus and train connections along the Côte d’Azur, which make it easy to get around on a budget.
Between May and September you’ll probably experience very high temperatures and sunshine most of the time.
During offseason in April and October you’ll have still sunny days but the temperature starts falling to 13-18°C.
Plus point is that it isn’t that crowded anymore which also leads to less opened restaurants and bars.
